Basically whenever I connect to a GSM or WiFi internet connection MFE automatically connects and does a sync despite my settings telling it to do so only every 12 hours. Is there a way to stop it from connecting each and every time I connect?

You could probably do something like creating a fcron or alarmed schedule of 12 hours and set MFE sync to manual only
