Look at http://doc.qt.nokia.com/qt-maemo/maemo5-rotation.html
I have read that. It still doesn't do the trick, querying screen size happens, if I understand correctly, very early in the app's life and it always reports landscape.
Also the bug that qmaemo5rotator claims to fix seems to be still present. All popup windows make the application go back to landscape.

There is a popup with all functions, show the menu, and then click insert function, but I chose to keep the dock because it has the search box. I will continue to work on the UI, some things I imagine them a little different than you describe, but some things I will implement like you said. I'll keep you posted.

This is great stuff, great stuff indeed. The only thing that truely bothers me is the black cursor. Makes editing incredibly hard. Still, thanks.

If the dialogs are parented, they shouldn't flip the UI.

Noted. First thing I'll fix, hopefully this weekend.

new version 5 in devel
  • Edit area color now in accordance with hildon theme
  • Redesigned insert function dialog with search

the Icon is not correct, I don't know why, edit the desktop file to run /opt/bin/speedcrunch till I fix it (the desktop file in the debian folder is correct... i dunno)

Congratulations on SpeedCrunch being promoted to extras.
You may want to update the OP!

Silly question, how do you delete the till roll?
Looked though all the menus can't seem to find it.

First post updated. I don't remember how you delete the till roll. Maybe there isn't such a feature. I didn't implement any new features, just made the basic functions usable on maemo. Speedcrunch still needs some love to become deeply hildonized but I don't plan to continue development.

I'm also happy to see that speedcrunch has a whooping 130000 downloads,

Seems the option has been added afterwards?

This revision seems to be from 2008, and when I assumed maintenance of speedcrunch I got the latest stable release from them. Maybe it hadn't made it into stable yet...
