Sorry... I'm looking for one icon representing an aircraft taking off, similar to an airport departures sign. Format is PNG in a few sizes consistent with the Maemo application requirements.

That's the right idea. I had in mind an icon that looks like the departures/arrivals signs you see when driving to an airport. Such as http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn%3...5%2F555133.jpg

Ok, so i made you an icon.
I made 64x64, 40x40 and 26x26 PNGs. If you need more sizes just send me a PM.
Edit: I just saw your post.. If you want i can change the color?

I suggest we keep it rectangular with rounded edges - look better in my opinion

Thanks kopte3! I had a square icon in mind. For my application, something that mimics those airport signs would be perfect. The blue is great. Any chance you can make the plane look more stylized? (rather than a 747 silhouette) Thanks for your effort!
