Really, as long as the CPU drives my preferred applications without serious inconvenience I can't call it old, no matter how long it's been out. And even than, as we've seen vis-a-vis N800/N810 and video, it isn't so much the CPU as the bottlenecks you wrap around it...

Thank goodness OMAP3 doesn't have OMAP2's issues.

Truthfully, though, video is still CPU-bound at the moment (there's still a lot of room for optimizations).

You're right, bugzilla is also used by mer. I'm pretty sure that's a section that will actually see some bug fixing. In fact, even if it's not suitable for day to day use, and I only tried it yesterday for the first time, I already like mer more than diablo.

If you're going to use them to hack mer, what are you waiting for?
Save some for me though

That's how tech works, isn't it?

I always thought that was common sense in terms of electronics.

Up-to-date meant what is forthcoming, not what's out.

Gerbick, it's a little bit off-topic, sorry, but i wonder, how do you manage to exchange files with Air sharing ?

You don't need a webdav file manager ?
You can do it directly via the default Maemo web browser ?

I owned a n800 and now a n810 and just purchased the Viliv S5. I really like it but can't compare to the form factor of the n810. Miss the sliding keyboard. Batter is incredible on the s5, over 5 hours of full use and watch 720p movies is awsome. I bought the s5 mostly for running streetdeck in the car and for portable movie player that is capable of browsing the web, ect. Hate that I can't run Linux on it, no touchscreen drivers. StreetDeck is a great in car GPS/MP3 player, although an expensive one. check out my blog for more on Viliv S5, http://philwiltux.blogspot.com/.

Air Sharing is an all-in-one app, webserver/webDAV et al.

Here it is in action... the files there are the ones that I did while answering your question last night.

As long as you have wifi, it'll work.
