working

I was referring to discussion among those who don't necessarily make the decisions. In general, simply to follow a conversation about an issue is becoming cumbersome.

More or less, Yes.

Agree. Having package-level information exposed to users would not be meaningful. But perhaps we can find a way to group those that have overlap and name them appropriately. Suggesting:
Desktop: hildon-desktop and hildon-home
Email: modest and modest-l10n
tinymail
Installation: community-ssu-enabler and mp-fremantle-community-pr,
Status-Menu: hildon-status-menu and status-area-orientationlock-applet
Application Manager: hildon-application-manager,
vte (not sure what this is)
TV-Out: libcptvout
Control-Panel: hildon-control-panel,
osso-applet-notificationlight,
osso-applet-display,
libcpaboutcssu (not that important)

etc.

Just make a "Community SSU" Section in the forum, and within that section create Sticky Threads for each major section

I narrowed my problem to the prompt about using pc suite to update Maemo. I guess that means the SSU Enabler didn't do it's job. Any idea on how to install it properly since I can't do it through CSSU's page on maemo wiki.

Check the FAQ.

Specifically, what does it say under Details > Problems when you click on the SSU update?

Missing application packages: hildon-status-menu (>=0.3.40-4)
hildon-control-panel (>=1:2.2.27-4).

Unavailable through apt-get. I had the modified hildon-desktop through MaeModder but I restored it

why there isn't the option to download only mail subject headers in modest, anymore ?
I tried pop3 and IMAP accounts...
I believe there was an option to enable that, before I installed the cssu...

is there any way to get the Media Player to work in portrait mode? (listing in "Songs" to be viewed full screen on portrait mode)

That would make CSSU nearly perfect!
