OK' It's better than rev 51, because it's booting, but ...

Instalation setup works fine (network selection, user name, time zone etc), but don't boot to desktop (black screen, mouse working - after about 1 minute - showing message: "Ubuntu is running on low graphic mode" :/

REVISION: 54
MICROSD: 16 GB
BOOTLOADER: pali's U-Boot

Selected in install script:
local firmware
No dist-upgrade
1GB fat, 4GB root, 1GB swap
n900 2.6.35 kernel

Any solution ? :/

Maybe try upgrading using just_chroot.sh? But as freemangordon said, the problem of crashes may be the kernel itself. I will try to add nemo kernel install to the script. Are there "Ok" button on this dialog?

Thanks what kernel did you use? I assume it's revision 54, is it? I didn't try it with 11.10 images, so I'm happy it's working Can you please add options from options/ folder? As in this post:

UPDATE: What did you use to take screenshots?

Try package kubuntu-low-fat-settings. That might improve speed.

It's just a warning for those who want to publish something Just ignore it (or read the manual of bzr)

artron: I'm curious about something else... Have you tried running the Kubuntu netbook UI? I was wondering whether the netbook UI can make sense in devices such as the N900, seeing the way it was designed. Also it would be a bit more, if not up to the expected standard, lighter than running the standard Kubuntu desktop.

Is there any method to install Ubuntu on eMMC besides Maemo?!
Because Fabry (The member of this forum) has Italian guide to install Nemo besides Maemo on eMMC! (using matan's Uboot and repartitioning the eMMC)
I translated his guide into English and did all the steps that he said, however I couldn't boot Nemo!
I just saw the Nemo logo!
