To take a vote, what would the best email client be for the N810?

My vote goes to Thunderbird, but unfortunately it does not appear open to everyone

How about yours?

After seeing Claws break my color tags that I use in Thunderbird, I prefer the default. I have not tried Thunderbird on the tablet.

As far as what clients are actually available on the tablet, there isn't much of a choice. You use either the the default one (Modest), Claws, or a web client.

Modest, b/c I like the alerts for new mail even when the app is closed. When I'm online for long periods, though, I just keep gmail open in a browser window.

I haven't seen that with Claws yet, but I definitely have with modest.

I just keep gmail open in a browser window.
That's pretty much what I do, but I did bookmark the mobile version of gmail so it is a little smaller and quicker to load than the standard version.

You can change the size of the text in the Preferences -- and even zoom in and out with the hardware zoom buttons.

I only basically tested, because I'm (obviously) not a Thunderbird user, but Claws and TB seemed to play well with each other on tags (aka labels, aka special flags).
