ok

it's very simple

but u should know that u need also to flash the latest firmware pr 1.3 after flashing the custom emmc

now u should have these 3 files ;

1 - flasher 3.5 program from here
http://www.mediafire.com/?7a67rbg8x27etd6

2 - custom 8 giga emmc from here
http://www.mediafire.com/?5o1hkuuwhn8hh1c

3 - latest firmware pr 1.3 from here
http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php

after that

u need to install flasher program as usual on ur computer ( remember that u need to have win xp or vista or 7 32 bit not 64 bit )

after installation , copy custom emmc file and firmware file to this path on ur computer

C:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5

now we have to flash the mobile and it's very simple

follow my instructions and don't change anything

1 - press on start button then all programs then maemo then maemo flasher 3.5 and press on it and u will see dos page

2 - make sure that ur mobile is disconnected from computer and closed

3 - write the following in the dos page :

Code:
flasher-3.5.exe -F EMMC_By.MiDO.FaYad.8.giga.bin -fu will see usb device not found , waiting on the dos page

after that , close ur mobile and press on p button and connect the usb cable while u still press on p then u will see that computer began to see ur mobile and flahing it

4 - after it finish , discoonect ur mobile from computer and remove the battery and insert it again and write this command in dos page to flash the firmware

Code:
flasher-3.5.exe -F xxxx -f -Rand replace xxxx bu ur firmware pr 1.3 name

and press on p and connect the cable while u still press on p and wait untill ur mobile opened
I did everything as it says here, but when I enter:

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -Rand

bassically nothing happens, there is just a cmd window popping out
but it closes very fast...what does this mean, did I flash the firmware as well or? should I try to turn on my device or?

let's be clear, I flashed the Emmc with mido fayads 8 gig and there was no issues with that, and then I take out my battery and I insert it again, a then when I write
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -Rand
and ofc my cell is connected again with the computer, but it doesn't start to flash, it just jumps over (I mean the window popps out than closes very fast)...

it's

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R
not

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -Rand
take note of the

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -Rand

guys I just wanted to ask, before I flashed my device I made a backup on my phone and transfered it on my computer, and now my question is how can I install this .BIN file on my device, it's very important beacuse all my numbers are gone and I need them :-/
I really hope that these numbers are stored somwhere in this backup...?

as far as i know if you have backup of your phone before you flash,

there should be a normal folder called"backup" and in it there would be your backup files now to restore you should just put the folder again on to your N900 and then go to backup in the menu(from where you got backed up) and then restore from there

also you will find option there to backup only contact and settings or with application and so on hope this helps
BTW from which app did you backup? my backup containt 3 zip files and one .metadata

Did you make the backup with some Nokia PC software, like OVI-suite, then recover the data with this programm from your PC. If you used the N900 Backup application in the phone, then transfer the file to a folder called backups inside /home/user/MyDocs, which is called N900 inside the built-in HildonFileManager.
