Hi!

Started having this problem a few weeks ago. It began with a single black stripe on the top of the screen and now there are almost 20 of them. The bottom of the screen is still how it's supposed to be but I'm expecting the problem will spread. Tried googling, didn't find anything useful other than suggestions about having my phone repaired. Well, maybe I'll have to do that eventually but I'd like to hear if it's somehow repairable (software thing or hardware thing). Anybody else have the same issue?

Thanks in advance!

Either the ribbon connecting to the lcd screen has a loose connection or your lcd screen is faulty...

Was it exposed to water? My 5800 did that once after dropping it in water, but then disappeared after a few days.

This is exactly what has been happening to my white N9. Started about 2 months ago.

Those black lines don't always appear as well. Sometimes the screen is completely fine, sometimes there are a few black lines, other times there are many black lines.

A few times, the screen gets worse. The bottom half of the screen becomes "stuck" on an image.

I've found that letting the phone screen sleep for a bit resolves the stuck image.
