There's fm transmitter built in but no software as was in the case of n900 initially.

If the meego CE os ever gets a viable os then there seems no compeling reason to buy a N9 as having no Flash support is disappointing.

As matters stand a SGS2 seems a better long term purchase, should I ever get bored with my N900.
n9 will be last device of its kind even if meego is super hit == no apps

I agree.. the way elop is going, seems like another dead end as far as apps are concerned.
That being said, apps are not the be all and end all of a look at the n900!

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't AMOLED use less battery if there's a black background? If so, my battery life is gonna be awesome because I will use a special "n900 theme."

So, in answer to the question:

Excellent battery life.

Going by the stated battery life in the nokia developer site's device comparison tool, N9 has tremendously better battery life than N900.

The screen is bigger, thus likely to consume more power, so your point only compensates that.

The screen size is positive thing.
The more powerful battery as well.

Bigger screen, navigation maps, no hardware keyboard!

Tried to set up a comparison N9/N8/N900 here
Google translation from German

I found NFC, better voice quality because of 2 mics and a compass as the main features that the N9 has over the N900. (And the 1GB RAM, of course ...)

What does the N9 offer above the N900 (that i really care about)

Meego/QT compliant environment
Easy access to KDE/QT apps like marble
1GB Ram
90% more GPU power
60% more CPU power
30% more MEM speed
bigger+better screen
tough (unibody-polycard + gorilla-glass)
