still getting this problem, but now it won't even detect any rom in the default folder.

this is what my fbasdl.ini folder looks like

Code:
// The application version this file was saved from
nIniVersion 0x029721
// video mode 0 = standard SDL 1= (very expiermental) opengl

// use asm cpu cores (i.e. you need to buy a new PC)
bBurnUseASMCPUEmulation 1

// The paths to search for rom zips. (include trailing backslash)

I can't also define the rom path using a fbasdl.ini located in .config/fba.

Good to see you did not just port FBA, but also are willing to polish it.

I had a small issue which the Capex installation, but could easily fix it
Code:
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  fba-capex
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/674kB of archives.
After this operation, 2130kB of additional disk space will be used.
(Reading database ... 61425 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking fba-capex (from .../fba-capex_1.0.1-1_armel.deb) ...
chown: /home/user/.config/fba: No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/fba-capex_1.0.1-1_armel.deb (--unpack):
subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/fba-capex_1.0.1-1_armel.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
After a "mkdir /home/user/.config/fba" it worked. You mentions moving old configs to this location, but initial installs may result in this error.

I see Capex now shows all its know roms configs (5500). That means a lot of scrolling, even if you can jump to the first letter

You can also set it to only show avalible by pressing ctrl and changing a config parmeter (save as global).

as for the dirctory I acidently set the chown in preinst istead of post. I'll have to fix that.

Uploaded a new version of capex. Hopefully will fix issues with new installs.

Do people think the thread title should now be changed to include [Announce] ie is it good enough for normal users?

Sure, it is in the repo, so why not make it an announce.

I had the problem it could not find my roms anymore.
I created the symlink from /opt/maemo/usr/games/fba/roms to /home/user/MyDocs/roms but to no avail.

Afters some debugging I found out it was searching for the directory 265104. Created this symlink to /home/user/MyDocs/roms and now the roms are showing up again.
I don't know if it is just my issue...
