I had this problem and i had to reboot all the time to see them. I just uninstalled that app. I was waiting for this update to watch videos again. I don't know if we even need the app as th phone is supposed to support a lot of codecs already.

do we really need to install this app?

You should probably just wait a little while your files are being re-indexed by trackerd. you could as well try to reboot the device. If none of these work, search for the thread about trackerd and no songs in the forums (I don't remember where it is). There is a solution there on how to reset trackerd to make it start indexing from scratch.

The same thing happened to me, and resetting trackerd worked for me.

i did read 1000000 thread about this problem and found this:
we have to use the follwoing commands as USER not as root

tracker-processes --hard-reset

Then run

/etc/osso-af-init/tracker.sh start

and everything works just fine now

Hi,

I followed your steps. Right now I am having the 2nd command block the terminal,
Meaning if i close it, the script will stop.
Should I leave it be for a while? or is it safe to close?

Thanks!

Edit : It worked!!! I just closed the terminal, Opened the media player, it started indexing. And after that, all songs were there!
Including the flac ones which made me install extra decoders support!
