you can install tis-8.5 (is that the name) to run aMSN, but to be honest aMSN is quite heavy. I use Pidgin 
EDIT: the name of the package that aMSN needs is tcl8.5, you can find it via FAPManager in "All packages" view.
or just apt-get

I'm using 'Pidgin protocols plugins for conversations and contacts' right now with the builtin conversations (devel and testing repos on).
At first it says "already connected", but if I select it and save, it starts to reconect again and 2 minutes after, it connects.
