Another thing, on the box, and on the sticker with the imei # on the phone it says 'mfg date: 12,2013'. Pretty quick turnaround considering it also says 'Made in China'

Such details may be asking too much of them. I'm sure it has been chaotic for them.

I think a broader communications improvement/added openness would have helped just as well and been more realistic. For example, tipping the order reference by Jolla on Twitter, updating rough order processing progress on Twitter etc.

I surely can forgive them for missing a tracking number email. I just wish they had been more active in other communication ways. I am sorry they have not.

Now, onto waiting for the rest of the people still in Paid!

Yes, but like cybette said, they are prioritizing to get the devices out over updating statuses.

Personally I'd rather HAVE the phone before Christmas rather than KNOWING it will/not be here before Christmas.

If I was #3999 in the queue and they neglected to push updates to the CMS in order to send a few more out, I'd be pretty pleased.

Interesting detail. Mfg date: 11,2013 has been in the boxes I've seen pics of.

In reality, Jolla could have done both in broad terms. Broader status updates wouldn't have taken them any time from actual shipping.
