Do you know if somewhere is flasher version as source code to compile?

My guess (or rather, I'm pretty strongly certain) is flasher is closed source. If it wasn't we'd have much more capable tools available for from-device-itself modifications to things like R&D mode. (Also we'd probably have N900's capable of reflashing themselves by now.)

Apparently, flasher is closed D:
We may be able to make our own Flasher if somebody had a logic analyzer and the time to document the commands.

Which leaves the question, why did Nokia close the Flasher, when all it does is... depend on libusb and send data chunks to the device.

There is an 0pen Free Fiasco Firmware Flasher.

It's not clear how well it works with the n900, I think some progress was made. Read more on Jebba's wiki page.
