My N810 used to work just fine at school last semester but now I have a lot of trouble getting on. The network shows up just fine but I get mostly authentication fails or network connection errors. The school runs 802.1x with PEAP with EAP MSCHAPv2. It says that for the Authority Certificate it should be Thawte Premium Server but in the Connection Setup I can't select any.

Could that be the reason that I'm getting all of these errors? It's weird because I can get on randomly, but mostly errors yet in exactly the same place last semester, I would have no problems at all so it's definitely not a signal strength issue.

You add new certificate in Settings > Control Panel > Certificate manager.
I'm using this kind of connection in eduroam network at university/universities.

I see the Certificate Manager and see in the Authorities tab the Thawte Premium certificate but am I exporting or importing it? Or do I click on Trust?

Thanks again!

Here is the solution: Please follow the steps EXACTLY as below:
1. Select New Connection
2. Enter Connection Name
3. Scan for available wi-fi network - select "No" if it is hidden network
4. Enter the exact SSID (if it is hidden then select Hidden checkbox)
5. Network mode: Infrastructure
6. Security method: WPA with EAP (this is what I selected for connecting to my office network)
7. EAP Type: PEAP
8. Select Certificate: None
9. EAP Method: EAP MSCHAPv2
these are most important steps:::
10. User name: ONLY ENTER User Name - no domain is required here
11. Password: enter valid password
12. Click Next and then click "Advanced"
13. Click "EAP" tab
14. Select "Use manual user name" checkbox
15. Enter "Manual user name" as username@domain --- very important.
16. Save
17. Finish

You are all SET. Setps 10 to 15 are very important.
