Hi all,

I am experiencing this really weird bug in MeeGo Harmattan 1.2 (on my N9) that I believe is triggered by installing NITDroid...

The problem is that my N9 connects to my home's wifi.. But _nothing_ actually connects to the internet (not even the xterminal)..

What makes this problem so odd.. Is that the _only_ wifi that doesn't work after installing NITDroid is my home's wifi.. It connects properly in every other wifi.

I've tried changing the encryption on my router and that didn't help.. I tried doing the three rm -rf's and that didn't work either.. I tried turning off wifi power saving mode via N9Tweak and that didn't work either...

I have also posted the same thread in nitdroid's forum located here: http://forum.nitdroid.com/index.php?topic=425.0

But I thought that since this problem only happens in MeeGo maybe someone here has an idea how to fix it.

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S.: The reason why I'm saying that this is triggered by NITDroid is because I reflashed my N9 (rootfs and eMMC) and my home's wifi worked with no problems what-so-ever... Then I reinstalled NITDroid aagain and the problem came back again.

Ok, I think the problem might be that MeeGo suddenly has a problem with gateways that has a 2 instead of 1??? As in 192.168.2.1 instead of 192.168.1.1

The reason why I'm saying that because my N9 won't connect to my router which has the gateway 192.168.2.1 that is connected to my wifi enabled modem.. But I enabled the wifi on my modem which has the gateway of 192.168.1.1 and that worked..

I encountered this problem with wi-fi router JoikuSpot on nokia n97mini where i was not able to see joikuspot, but on nitdroid it was okay.
There is bad wi-fi perception on n9...how to turn it on for long distances...sens there is dificult to connect to any router farther than 50m in distance...im very disapointed with this device...is there anuthing to do with product code settings that i have is 005?

I had the same problem and solve it that way

/sbin/ifconfig usb0 down

yes. there are two workarounds.
- change your home network
- edit /sbin/preinit to use a different network for usb0

Well, this isn't a bug. It is actually quite helpful otherwise
you can not use adb for nitdroid over usb.
The problem is, e-yes choose the same network address
that you use for your home network.
I let my home network address 192.168.2.1 and changed
the usb0 network to 192.168.3.15 in /sbin/preinit.
Now, I use adb connect 192.168.3.15:5039
for connecting nitdroid over usb
