Judging by packaging. The real Blue-dream , says 'Blue dream' and 'Perfect Business Battery' . This one only says 'Perfect business Battery' and has a vertical printing.

Hi. I have a couple of 18650 cells and I wish to use them with my n900. But they are longer than the stock battery and does not fit. Do you guys have some idea how can I use them properly they are 2600mAh from a laptop battery. 2 in parallel so theoretically 5200mAh. That would be awesome. The width is perfect but the length is off by about 5mm.

in standard body, You would need to remove (stock) battery housing. Of course, if You don't mind additional thickness.

I just tried to turn on my phone with using a power supply set to 3.6 volts. I connected ground to shielding (under battery) and positive to the positive terminal. I tuned the phone on and the Nokia logo appeared. But then it turned off and when I tried it again with the battery it did not turn on. What just happened. Did I kill it?? Is there something that I can check??

Maybe related to the third pin... the one that connects to circuit board on the battery. Just a guess.

3th pin (BMI) must be connected to battery - via ~100k resistor.
