From Gmail Labs...

Even if you're on a unreliable or slow connection, you can open your web browser, go to gmail.com, and get to your mail just like you're on a fast wifi connection.

prerequisite: Google Gears

I tried to use this and it looks like Google will not allow me the option of using offline mode when viewing it from my n810 browser. The option is available on my desktop only. Hope they implement this, sounds like a cool idea.

I believe a plug-in for MicroB would be required. I don't think one is available yet...

Go to http://gears.google.com with your tablets browser and hit the "Install Gears" link thingy.

After agreeing to the "Terms of Service" (something to do with your first born or suttin')... It downloads the installer to the device and opens an "Install Component" window. Clicking "OK" brings up the Nokia "Notice" window (something about blowing up your device or somesuch), clicking "OK" again brings up a "Downloading" window.

WooHoo!

...when the download completes the tablet opens up a familiar "Installing" progress bar.

Double Dog, WooHoo!

After about 2 seconds of this, the tablet pops up an "!" Message window that reads:

"Google Gears" could not be installed because it is not compatible with your MicroB build type (Lynux). Please contact the author of this item about the problem.

...Doh!

More on that...
