For me that didnt help... sadly.
+ I did the thingf or getting the GPRS back, which napaDokc said, maybe it has something to do with that?

Never the less, for me CloudGPS is the best map program if you compare its look&feel. If you would have good POIs and search function, its all you need for a map app.

edit: even searching is not working for me right now, because of google error

Okay I just wanna bump this once:

I tried to fix the GMaps problem using the tutorial of vi_
Edited opt/cloudgps/cloudgps.ini, commented, outcommented the lines. Still doesnt work for me.

Anyone have a clue on how to get searching and Googlemaps back on CloudGPS?

I did that too, still doesnt work. My ini looks like that

Code:
httpUserAgent=CloudGPS for N900

#httpUserAgent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11

@schokopudding

I was having the same problem as yours and I solved it following the post by dwaradzyn here:

http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=549

If you set curlVerbose=1 and run cloudgps from the command line, and if you see the app trying to connect to some IPv6 address, then that is surely the problem.

So just add "forceIPv4=1" to the [Network] section.
One problem I came across was some character "^M" at the end of the line, I had to remove it for this to work.

The "^M" appears at the end of a line if you open a file on Linux/Unix that was created on a DOS or Windows machine. This is because DOS and Linux uses different line break sequences. Normally nothing to worry about as long as you don't try to enter it manually.

CloudGPS seems to be broken with PR1.3 on my N9. Anybody else has this problem?

Hey Guys.. Am i blind, or isn't there a way to lock CloudGPS in Landscape mode?
I tried pushing "P" but after some movement of the phone the lock releases itself and while going by bike it always rotates from Landscape to Portrait and back...
Thanks

Hi all,
I find that Cloud GPS does not switch on the GPS hardware.
The GPS icon near the GSM signal strength indicator does not start to blink (like when other other applications like Nokia Maps start)
Has anybody faced this issue ?
How can I make cloud GPS work ?

Hi @ all!

First of all, great app!
I've got it on my N9 v0.6.4 and it just works fine except for two things.
It doesn't connect automatically at startup. Tiles and search queries cannot be resolved due to missing connection. If a connection is already established at startup or is started meanwhile the app is working in the background cloudgps loads all the necessary data.

How can I make CGPS connect at startup?

Secondly, is it possible to locate position via cellular network or does it work via GPS only (which works fine, just in case you know Couldn't find an answer to those questions in this thread.

Output of cloudgps.ini under /opt/cloudgps/:

[Network]
#httpReferer=
#httpUserAgent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11

# useful for debugging network problems:
#curlVerbose=1
httpUserAgent=CLoudGPS for N900
forceIPv4

[Defaults]
tileProvider=OpenStrettMap I
geocodingProvider=Coudmade
zoom=2
tilex=-3
tiley=-3
enabled3d=0
enabledRotation=0
useMipmaps=1
showDebugTiles=0
downloadedFadeTime=1500
zoomChangeFadeTime=1500
locallyLoadedFadeTime=1500
rotation2D=0

#ttfFont=/opt/usr/share/fonts/tahoma.ttf
ttfFont=/opt/cloudgps/res/nokia_pure.ttf

Output of config.ini under /home/user/.cloudgps:

[CurrentView]
zoom=10
tilex=523
tiley=325
x=5.6303658585412598
y=67.858978271484375

[Options]
tileProvider=OpenStreetMap
geocodingProvider=CloudMade
routingProvider=CloudMade
loadLastRoute=0

Any help would be appreciated!
Looking forward and cheers,

onionking
