I also purchased one from ebay (India) to Germany (Berlin). Berlin is a very sexy but poor city. The guys at customs are more interested to get the 19% VAT from me, than look at CE Marks. In other german cities the missing CE mark can be a problem...

Basically the one who(legal entity) imports to eu area is responsible for CE- marking. So if the person uses the thing him/her self the responsible legal entity is the person self and so the legal entity can not raise a legal case against it self. If the thing is sold.then the importer is responsible and it's agains law to sell non CE marked things. All this assuming that no harm / damage to third parties is caused.

This thing is huge and cheap compared to N9.
Is there a thread or post with must-have apps?
PS There's a screen protector in the box, should I apply it?

Well shipping INSIDE EU shouldn't have customs checks, so yes in theory it should avoid the CE troubles.

Every state has some own laws, some laws are for all federal states.
Berlin is (like Hamburg and Bremen) an individual federal state. it has not so much industry like Bavaria or Nord-Rhine-Westphalia. Berlin lives from turists who leave a lot of bucks here, but compared to the other (mostly west-german) federal states - Berlin is one of the poorest...
We are poor - but sexy. This was the slogan of the prevoius mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit. :-)

Seriously, a screen protector is recommended but the included one is total garbage. If you want a quality protector, you can find it here.
I use the "upscreen Bacteria Shield Matte Premium Screen Protector" myself and I'm very satisfied with that. Don't know about the bacteria part, but otherwise it delivers.

I'm in HK but the same seller on ebay.in should be fine. Paisapay took a few days to clear then another week for shipping. For what translated as roughly 71GBP including shipping, it's bargain-tastic.
The screen-protector is beyond cack, BTW. Can't believe I lived through the days of actually using those vile plastic things!
