As above really guys, Mauku is nice, but pretty useless if it only shows timeline. Or am I missing something?

I'm assuming you're not on an N900 with the new version, if you are then I don't know the new layout.

Check out Witter, a twitter client for N900

If Witter isn't working for you, eg crashes/doesn't start, gives errors etc etc. Please run it from x-term using:
run-standalone.sh python2.5 /opt/witter/witter.py

This will generate diagnostic output. Without this I cannot help you.

Thanks ever so much. Im running Mauku 2.0 Beta 4.

From the main screen, how do I access Menu?

All I have is "New message", "Overview", and "Contacts"

Sorry if a dumb question, still finding my way with the N900, and its OS

AFAIK, Mauku 2 does not (yet) supported saved searches (such as "@jaffa2") or direct messages.

The beta versions does not contain all planned features yet. There is a lot of functionality, like Twitter search and Facebook integration, coming soon. Please, be patient with the pre-sales devices.
