The newest kernel is 40 or 41.
You can go to app manager and update it.

might be too obvious but did you create/enable extras-devel repository in app manager? if not, enable it, and you'll find version 40 there.

Name: extras-devel
URL: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/
Distribution: fremantle
Components: free non-free

as is always the case, make sure you understand what the risks are with 'extras-devel' repo. (re)visit the reflash wiki just in case you need it. a good habit is to disable the repo after download/install. have fun

Yes I did it. And no kernel update or version appears in System or All menu.
I have Extra and Extra-devel in Catalogue menu and they are enabled.
Can you give me the name under V40 is listed in Extra?

Just start typing "Enhan....." and you will find it. Make sure you have updated after you have enabled the repo.

All necessary repos are enabled on my phone (and have been since day dot) but when I search using Fapman the only ehanced kernel available is the obsolete package stating "Please REMOVE this package"....

So possibly it's not actually there at the moment....

I tried to search and on "Enh" nothing. There is no app.
Am I need to uninstall kernel v37 first?
I have only few 6-7 app installed.

yes, you need to uninstall "enhanced kernel for power users" before you can see the latest version on the app manager list.

you can also download it using x-terminal:

1. download "rootsh" from app manager. the program allows you to become 'root', or 'super-user-do' in you filesystem

2. open xterm

3. type in the command prompt

sudo gainroot

apt-get install kernel-power

reboot
