At last! After weeks of waiting, [LINK:

Eduardo de Barros Lima announces that [LINK:
http://tuxrecife.blogspot.com/] Renato Araujo has finally released a newer
version of [LINK: http://www.gnome.org/projects/rhythmbox/] Rhythmbox. This
version now has [LINK: http://daap.sourceforge.net/] DAAP working, which
lets your Nokia 770 stream MP3s from iTunes from a different computer in
the network.

Download Rhythmbox [LINK:

Note: to activate DAAP sharing on the Nokia 770, you need to start the
mDNSReponder service in Xterm:

$cd /var/lib/install/usr/bin/

I try to add an Internet Radio Station by entering an Name and the URL, e.g. http://www.somafm.com/groovesalad.pls
to the New Internet Radio Station dialogue.
But when I try to play it, nothing happens. DAAP sharing is going well in the meantime. Does anyone know what is going wrong?

i can't get it installed . I am able to install the previous version, but with the new version even though the package appears to install none of the files are there.

Coooool ....
I shared a couple of playlists on my Mac, fired up Rhythmbox on my 770 and there it was. No additional configs needed.

Regarding podcasts, I'd like to be able to import an OPML-file or point the application at my OPML-collection at OPMLmanager.com. That could save me a lot of typing :-)

Is it expected that the current Rhythmbox release doesn't play Ogg files? When I try to do this, Rhythmbox just disappears.

The separate ogg-play package plays ogg files very nicely, so clearly the ogg codec support is there. But ogg-play doesn't have playlists, so I'd prefer to drive everything from Rhythmbox. What would it take to get ogg working under Rhythmbox? (It already works under normal Linux, of course.)

Thanks, Neil

I'm finding Rythmbox to be fairly flaky.

It's pickup of shared playlists from my Windows iTunes seems to be rather random and any attempt to password protect playlists results in a Rythmbox crash after the password is entered on the 770.

I'm getting a fair number of crashes regardless of the password issue, with the program icon remaining active but the program itself not available. Having to do a lot of 770 re-booting.

Anyone else having this problem or have suggestions on how to get around it?

I'm running the latest version of everything.

Thanks

WillS

I want to add it to Rhythmbox (New Internet Radio Station dialogue). Rhythmbox seems to freeze when I try to play the station I entered.

When I type "$cd /var/lib/install/usr/bin/" into Xterm I get the message "not found"

Should I be installing something other than Rhythmbox?
