heres an odd one.....

the headset connects via bluetooth perfectly...
using the wired connection it doesnt....well not really
if i have the headset placed to my ears and pull out the connection
from the 3.5mm jack and device(n900) i hear a "click"/slight distortion...
like you would regularly hear IF it was properly connected....

using another wired headset....and connecting them to the n900 3.5mm jack
as works well....

using the wired connection of the BH 905's to connect to another device...they
too work well....
just not on the n900...

i should also say they used to work the wired way before but then just stopped...

suggestions/advice?

seems it was a software issue that was never rectified...

solution 1. get a new wired connection similar to what nokia gave in the box (the wired part that fits into the headset and into the device)

solution 2. push the 3.5mm side into the device partly (like 1st/2nd black mark on the 3.5mm)..you will/should hear distortion in the headset...once u hear that push the jack fully in...should work...

NOTE: there will be no headset icon most times

Do you mean 905 or 905i?

There are two cables that come with the 905i.. one works with the N900 the other works with the iphone.. Try the other cable..

The cable has three rings on the n900 end plug.. You can use the adapter that comes with the bh-905 to change it into a 2 ring plug.. That will also work..

In the headphone case, is there a D shaped pouch that comes out? This is a 905i case

How can you tell if you have 905 or 905i headphones?

Are there elastic loops on inside the case that the adapters and plugs fit into? This is a 905 case

In the headphone case, is there a D shaped pouch, a bit larger than the N900 that comes out? This is a 905i case..
