Well that won't work with your device even with wine ^^^

Wine is only a library wrapper, it does not work on anything except x86 platform, certainly not on ARM based devices.
You'd need to use QEMU for that.
(Not that anyone'd need windoze applications for anything really, OMHO...)

Daily bread&butter. Not going to dig out my laptop for any small idea I get, and even when I do, it's easiest to develop on the device itself, just using laptop to ssh to it.

Guys, what source editor do you use when on the go? (Please let it not be vi or emacs, please let it not be vi or emacs, please let it not be ... )

I used TinyEdit recently for a small config file edit and hit the - nice to look at but not always practical - Sailfish paradigm: swipe to expose the menus. Not very convenient if you are in the middle of a long text file. You have to scroll all the way up or down first and lose your current position in the file.

Sorry to disappoint you, yes, it is mostly vi
On my laptop I always use emacs though.
