Hello, All!

I have ported MasterGear 2.6 to Maemo OS2008. MasterGear is an emulator that runs games written for 8bit SEGA consoles: SEGA Master System, GameGear, Mark2, Mark3, SG-1000, SC-3000, and SF-7000. To read more about MasterGear and download Maemo version (as direct .deb download for now), go to

http://fms.komkon.org/MG/

In a short while, you should also be able to find it in Diablo Extras.

Thanks!

Quick note, on install I'm getting the following:

File '/usr/share/applications/hildon/mg.desktop' contains invalid MIME type '/application/x-sf7000' that starts with a slash

Here is the relevant section of the mime types file:

<mime-type type="application/x-sf7000">
<comment>SEGA SF-7000 disk image</comment>
<osso:category name="documents"/>
<glob pattern="*.sf.gz"/>
<glob pattern="*.sf"/>
</mime-type>
As you can see, it does not contain a slash. Any ideas what may be wrong?

I had a look in the file listed by dpkg and it did seem to have an extra / in it.

From /usr/share/applications/hildon/mg.desktop (highlighted in red):

Code:
MimeType=application/x-sms;application/x-gg;application/x-sc3000;application/x-sg1000;/application/x-sf7000
Though I don't honestly know if this will make a difference. It may be that dpkg reports it but then it's auto-corrected in the mime files?

The whole message from dpkg on install:

Code:
Unpacking mg (from mg_2.6.0-1_armel.deb) ...
Setting up mg (2.6.0-1) ...

Hopefully get a chance to play with the actual app soon - currently got too many cycles busy using rsync to back up everything on a 16 GB card to my desktop

Oh, it is a typo in the .desktop file! Thanks, I will fix it right away.

I have fixed the problem and uploaded the new .deb to the homepage. Unfortunately, Extras is no accepting my ssh login at the moment, so it may happen that the repository version will have this glitch for a few days. It's not life-threatening though, so it can wait until the next release.
