Don't hate. I need money to import a Jolla device, and I gave away 2 n950s (one had broken sim slot) last year. $2500 price is my response to the idiot selling one for $5000. He has 30 offers, I wonder if anyone would pay even half?
I'll give *most* members of this forum a better deal. If some idiot wants to pay full price, I'm okay with that too.

I wonder if anyone ever gave the developer of the N900's injection wifi driver a device, as he said he wanted in exchange for figuring out injection on the N9/N950? If not, and injection on those devices isn't a thing yet (I'm so out of the loop it's pathetic) perhaps people want to crowd-fund buying this for him?

Of course, I've always wanted an N950, but I'm doing strictly dirt-cheap bottom-feeder phone purchases to build up an arsenal of devices for app development on all the platforms I can get my hands on (lately I'm one of the guys buying bad-esn/imei water-damaged screen-broken yet-somehow-still-working phones off eBay), so I can't hope to compete against others who are interested, and it's unpredictable when I'll have time to develop any given thing, so even if I could at the moment it's probably better in the hands of someone else.

Hmmm I just don't trust giving a device to someone in advance of the work we want them to do.
Look how many n950s nokia gave away, and how little we got back.

Well I don't think they really gave out that many N950's...
For example I never received a developer device and have had to do with a standard-issue RM-696

In retrospect that might actually be a good thing since having the limitations that are present on it forced me to learn quite lots of things that proved useful later

Well I didn't mean give it away, I was suggesting maybe those most interested in getting injection working on the N9/N950 could pool together some money. And obviously we'd need to verify with lxp or whatever his username was that he's still up for doing it.

$2500 for a device that is obsolete? Give me a break. If you sell it for the cost of shipment you may have a better luck.

I hope I don't need to remember how little the N950 is worth.

Not worth it for development, but a cool geek toy

Good Luck Creamy Goodness.
