Newspapers are a big waste of time because they change subjects too often.
What they should is start a number of threads on the front page, like, War, Murder, Money, People.
Then when the war in Iraq comes along, you just put the article about it at the end, after the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWI, WWII, War in Vietnam, etc. This would be a great savings, because newspapers would have the same headlines every day. "War is getting worse" "Murder in the city" "It's difficult to make money" etc.
Then we would have people who patrol the newspapers and make it unbearable for anyone who thinks they have a new story. There are no new stories!! Just old threads.
I can't figure out if the motto of these newspapers would be "nothing new under the Sun" or "no news is good news".
