Is there anyway to have the browser scroll (using either your fingers or stylus) with inertia? So if you scroll faster, it takes a while for it to slow down and it'll continue scrolling for a second or two after I stopped?

Does it even make sense what I am asking?

Just port the "Grab and Drag" extension.

Easy-peasy...

I tried the mentioned extension on my Linux desktop and have to say that I'm not really impressed. If performance was so poor on a desktop, how much worse will it be on the tablet?

Gecko should rather be made render to a server-side offscreen pixmap, which can then be rendered quickly on screen, including zooming and kinetic/inertial scrolling. Quiver e.g. demonstrates very well what the tablets are capable of with the XRender features of the X-server.

But I'm just dreaming...

If only it were so easy. I figure since media players could do it there must be a way to addon to the browser.

I was being sarcastic (I usually am, BTW).

And, for the record, I don't like the "kinetic" thing. It makes me feel less in control of my computer.

It's great for quick browsing of a web page though... I for one would love it! I find it hard to go from Canola back into the browser as I find myself wanting to kinetic scroll.
