I just noticed in the Application Catalog that there's a new version (0.30) of pycage's Ogg Vorbis Player, which adds playlist support. I don't believe this has been announced anywhere yet, so this post is for everyone like me who has been waiting for playlist function ... it's there now, fantastic!

(BTW, you can select multiple files in the Hildon file chooser by clicking on one file and then dragging over the others that you want. You just have to start from an item which is not initially selected.)

Can somebody point me to the link for the free OGG converter?
Thanks.

Okay, I give up . . . what is the playlist format and extension? An example would be very helpful. I tried various extensions like m3u and even xspf which weren't recognized.

Edit: Maybe the inclusion of "playlist" doesn't mean playlist file?

Yes. In my post above, all I meant was that you can now add multiple files to the UI, and they will play in sequence. I'm not aware of anything else.
