Hey. I heard that the n800 and the 770 had ARM processors. And the n810 has a TI OMAP processor. What architecture is that based on? Is there any way I could install a gcc-based compiler or even gcc? If it is based on ARM, could I cross-compile my C programs(I have some that I NEED to run on the tablet)? Would they work in Xterminal? How about bash? I hope I can but BASH or at least SH on it!

SO that whole thing comes down to:
1. Could I run command-line programs on the tablet?
2. Is Bash or sh available for the n810?
3. What shell does the n810 use as default?

Busybox Ash is default shell.

N800 and N810 are the same board basically. The TI OMAP is an all-in-one chip that contains an ARM11 core. Both a cross compile version of gcc and a native gcc are available. Bash is available as well. Hope that helps.

Some facts:

TI OMAP is an ARM processor.
N800 processor = N810 processor = TI OMAP2420

Thanks Guys. Now, I am no tin love with the n810 anymore...I am obsessed with it. I can't wait to get it.
