This is the second device that I have had. The display on the first one stopped working after I enabled R&D mode and then tried to re-enable production mode. The display worked fine in R&D mode. I am reluctant to try to gain root again this way because I do not want to break the display again. Is there a reason I can't leave the device in R&D mode, or is there another way to gain root with the new 2006 Beta OS? I have the new OS already installed.

Knoppix is pretty neat, i have another live CD linux (Mepis) that i have been fiddleing around with for a while. When i come across a junked PC i put Mepis on it. Be lazy as i am i dont want to mess with setting up a pc ( im all mac based here). So after 24 hours or so of trying to gain root with a flasher i came across an alternative method.![]() |
