I know that pretty much this will invariably end with a "no"... but as a owner of a N810 as well as the 770; do any of you think that the virtual keyboards will work and Android will work in a 770 at a future point of time?

I seriously want something to do with that 770.

I don't see why not. Google is definitely planning keyboard-less android devices, so they'll have to do *something* about text input. And Android is aimed squarely at armv5 devices so the 770 will be fine. Minimum RAM requirements are 32MB, IIRC. It won't be fast but once the Android source is out I don't see any reason it couldn't be made to work.

No it start with a no, because Nokia770 actually supports android see this tutorial :
