well my friend bought a new ipod touch and we were comparing both.

I said that the ipod touch cannot play flash videos so cannot diestly view websites like youtube and dailymotion.

But to my surprise when he went to dailymotion.com and clicked on a window it open in the external video player and the clarity was amazing. i mean it was better than the youtube client of the ipod touch.

Now i did the same thing and the tablet struggled to play the video. It was like a very very slow mo video.

Why cannot our browser open the video in an external player like mplayer?
if yes how?

Ok, so as far as I know, iPod does not have flash. And daily motion is flash. What do you mean "clicked on a window" ? Do you mean clicked on a video?

Ok, tried with the N810. Video was crap quality and slow....

Then, I switched UA string to iPhone, and something VERY strange happens. It does not load the flash! I don't know why... And when you click on were the flash should be, it opens a picture. WEIRD!!!

well apparently the video was an mp4 video. when he browsed with his ipod touch and clicked on the video it opened in external player.

Ok, so all we need to really do is to force the website to cough up the .mp4 file, and then open it with Mplayer. Similar to youtube for iPhone right?

The question is not whether or not we USE dailymotion, the question is the low quality and underperformance of the flash player on microb. iphone users can enjoy high quality mp4 playback out of dailymotion, why can`t we?
