I've been eying the n810 for awhile now and I plan to get it for christmas. I saw this on digg two seconds ago:

The video was uploaded today. Has anyone else tried this port? Here is the project's page with some info, and the download link...

Let me know if this works, there is a readme also with very clear instructions!

Particularly interesting: they're using Linux 2.6.25 instead of 2.6.21, and they had it booting Maemo (with no wifi). That with the open-source wifi driver Nokia dropped at the Maemo summit should then work, which would be good for working on said driver, and/or packet injection for aircrack-ng.

Interesting, it works without the magic openGL drivers. Would rather see a Dalvik port to maemo though, but good job none the less.

Interesting read how they got it to work, nice shout out to our well loved forum members PenguinBait, qwerty and b-man! With wifi this would be a nice alternate OS.

UPDATE: it looks like N800 owners will have a chance at this too; someone has allrety built a on-screen keyboard and is providing both the binary and sorce! - not shure how well it actually works though...
