There is some kind of bad karma around ruby-maemo combination. The interpreter itself is not in the extras repo - it is hosted on rubyx.co.uk. It means that no ruby-based package cannot be uploaded to extras - it just won't build (I tried).
The source code of ruby-hildon binding is not available anywhere (there were people looking for it already - no answer).
And, finally, no visible public activity.
Does anybody know how to contact Tom Swindell? I would love to get in touch with him, may be I could help in moving things to extras...
