Since I am not able to install python-gnome2-extras on maemo 4.1 (because of broken dependencies), I thought that I would give mer a try. I am running mer 15 under VMware. I was able to install the package on mer, but when I try to import gtkmozembed, I get:

SystemError: dynamic module not initialized properly

Any idea how I can fix this problem?

The problem is that mer does not install xulrunner-1.9.1 by default, yet that package is required to run gtkmozembed.

I am still getting a warning from glib when I import gtkmozembed:

This Gtk version doesn't have the GtkSettings::gtk-enable-input-feedback-sounds property.

I will plow ahead in the hope that mozembed works in my application despite this warning.
