Hey,
Ive just bought the N900. im trying to connect to my wifi at home. the phone recognises the wifi but when try to connect it says "internet connection failed. try again?"
And my wifi station doesn't have any buttons on it if that matters.
SOMEONE HELP!!

I get that error once in a long while, I just turn the phone off and turn it back on and it works again.

hey roger...i turned it off and on and now it comes up with
"push a button on your wireless station to initiate easy setup process and tap done"
my wifi station doesnt have any buttons??
sorry if this is a stupid question

One tip is to try and Google the EXACT error message, with quotation marks around it. Others may have had the same problem.

You may be able to put an ip address in your browser and get to a router setup screen. Mine is 192.168.1.1 for example. Documentation should tell you that.

Ok, i have a very stupid question
i cant find x11vnc (server) and nano (editor) in the application manager or via apt-cache. Extras repository is enabled.

found nano. Still no X11VNC.
Edit: Also done. No one mentioned it was in testing...

hi there im a newbie my sister just gave me her n900 but i had some issues in it ,I cant turn on my bluetooth from my n900 and the wifi always no connection i tried to dowdload wifi swtcher when i turn it off says"wlan disable" but when i turn it on.. Nothing happens.. I check logs at app manager its says"bt no such adapter"
what do u think is wrong with my phone

i had this problem too
you are tring to connect using the applet.
try connecting it from settings>internet connections>connections>new

i hope it works

this was probably answered elsewhere, but i'm too lazy to look around, so i'll just ask

N900's original charger has output of 350 mA, it charges slow, can I use other nokia charger that has output 850mA?

Both goes thru usb power to usb contverter so i wonder can this be usefull to charge quicker ?

Hello, I have a problem with my n900 turns off every 10 minutes when i'm not using it.

I already reflash rootfs and MMC, that not solve the problem

I installed sysklogd to see the errors and I didnt find any bug or nothing that mentions that messages. So I need a clue desperatly.

When sysklogd it's running the phone works normally, when not turns off again.
