No, it really would be illegal. A breach of contract. Nokia had to license the technology from Microsoft. If they did this, then their license would be revoked and they would likely get sued.

Vitaly, the real issue here is Nokia,s use of the name Mail for exchange to describe the product in its advertising. Rightly or wrongly this term has set a very high expectation in the market for capabilitirs for enterprise support, especially for prvious Nokia owners. The N900 clearly does not live up to the MfE labeling

this is a great discussion. I am personally waiting for the Mfe 2003 support since my employer uses MS Exchange and is not migrating very soon.
When will the new SW update be relieased?
