Hi,

this is a great discussion. I am personally waiting for the Mfe 2003 support since my employer uses MS Exchange and is not migrating very soon.

When will the new SW update be relieased?

Vitaly , the real issue here is Nokia,s use of the name Mail for exchange to describe the product in its advertising. Rightly or wrongly this term has set a very high expectation in the market for capabilitirs for enterprise support, especially for prvious Nokia owners. The N900 clearly does not live up to the MfE labeling

Let us live the marketing discussions to the marketing guys. According to my understanding if Exchange supports non-provisionable devices, then the labeling is OK. But again, this is marketing discussion. Let us not to go into this area.

I logged into my account via OWA (Outlook Web Access) and I see the following under the menù "Mobile Devices":

Device: SmartPhone
Last Sync Time
Status: OK
First Sync on: Mon 11/30/2009 7:42 PM
Device ID: "my IMEI number"

Do you mean you see "my IMEI number"? Not the digits but just this string?

I understand that the N900 is a non-provision-able device. I also understand that the option needs to be set on the server side for MfE to work. But is it possible that even if this setting is not made on the server side, that it could still work if the policies being enforced are relaxed enough.

Or another way to ask the question, does the N900 support any policies at all?

Ok next update.

Managed to download certificate from webmail, transfered the file to the N900 and tried to open it from the file browser.

Unfortunately I hit upon another error

"invalid certificate, unable to install"
