Hello all i paired my carkit to my n900.works all fine but the microphone of the my car radio is very bad so i want to use the phone mic instead. so i modified etc/bluetooth/audio.conf and i added this line:
Disable=Headset

now my n900 sees my carkit as a bluetooth headphone. which is what i wanted . but now when i receive a call it uses the phone speaker and phone mic and not my car speakers.

does any1 know how i can fix this?

It should work cause mp3 does work.
so the voice should go throught the phone mic and the audio to my radio with a2dp

This is a little off topic but does the same go for a wired headphone? Im assuming the headphone jack is multi-function, as in will carry both the mic and stereo audio, so if you plug in just a stereo audio cable that the mic will continue to be used off the phone? The reason I ask is that I have a similar setup in my car but no bluetooth. I have an ipod adapter that syncs up to my stereo and has a line in for aux input. If I could plug into that and get audio out the car speakers and continue to use the mic on the phone thatd be awesome. Im assuming there will be echo / feedback depending on how well the phone mic noise cancells.

I have found the solution. It is to edit the file
/var/lib/pulse-nokia/hs.parameters

and make sure your line looks like this:

Code:
x-maemo.alsa_sink.mixer_control = "HP DAC:control,Headphone:off,Earphone:on"
Works for me

You can type:
Code:
alsamixer -c 0
To play with the sound mixer manually. I used it to do some cool stuff such as playing audio files through the earphone.
The effects are only temporary so if you screw something up, just reboot your phone.
