Hi,

I just got my hands on a N900. Absolutely loving it. I was using Blackberry previously. I frequently dial tele conference numbers and my contacts have Pause/Wait in many of the numbers. What is the N900 equivalent for this? The exported contacts has a "!" for these control characters, which is not flying well on the N900.

Thanks,
Raj

Hmm I can't actually figure out how to add the wait/pause on the device for existing contacts.

I had to add it manually via PC Suite by typing 'p' so here's an example

0123456789p12345

This will dial 0123456789 then pause/wait then dial 12345 extension number.

But for a new contact, if you go to Phone, tap *+ three times it will gives you the 'p' wait/pause then just save it as new contact.

Copy 'p' (for example from the name fields) and use Ctrl+V.

That's a good workaround, I've logged an enhancement to allow typing 'p' in phone number fields

Just as a random thought, does a comma work too? I thought that used to in the old days of modems?

Can't you just hold the Fn key while typing #'s to revert the fn-lock? I found this out the hard way while trying to pair a bluetooth headset and was wondering why I kept getting qwer for a default 1234 headset.

it didn't work. this is my password.
Anybody knows why?
