When I logged into Sype the first time I started receiving this message as well. Now, it keeps popping up every two minutes or so. arggh

It would seem there is plenty of space everywhere for anything Skype could need? If I shut down the device and pull the battery the messages stop, but when I go online in skype they begin popping up again. Despite this skype, and everything else, seems to work fine. Just the popups keep on coming.

Is there any way to see where it is trying to write and what? Or some kind of log file to know what exactly goes wrong... The vague error message is quite useless in trying to fix anything.

I tried the following:

- Set the availability to 'offline': errors still keep popping up
- Deleted the skype account: errors still keep popping up
- Switched the device off and on again: no more error popups
- Re-added the skype account and went online: no popups
- Got a message through skype: popups start coming again



edit: Now, suddenly, the popups stopped coming. I didn't change anything.

open a terminal and type:

cd .rtcom-eventlogger

mkdir keep

mv el.db* keep

ok got this phone yesterday and get this error every dam 2 seconds. ive installed a few apps and the biggest one being an image for lxde supposed to have wen to my docs but i cant see anything please help

lucas777: Please provide exact steps, exact error message, what happens and what you expect. Plus the output of "df -h" when you enter this in the X Terminal.
I don't understand your initial posting here.

I have checked the other threads and didnt get the exact info i was looking for.. has anyone had the unable to recieve new messages error and how did you fix in detail please?

I cant send any text message its says unable to receive or send new messages.
device storage full.
remove data to free memory.

and i know i have plenty of room internal is 24gbs free
memory card is 7gbs free
and memory for installable apps is 1.27gbs.

can anyone help with this?

Seems like your rootfs is full. See http://wiki.maemo.org/Free_up_rootfs_space
