Hi everyone..

I just recently bought my Nokia N900 and I'm having trouble setting the configurations for the internet and email settings (proxy, apn, etc.) for my Optus 3g sim card.

Anyone out there can tell me the settings for Optus 3g in Australia.

Your help is much appreciated. Thx.

Han

It should have pulled all the info from the 3G card.
Thats what it did for my friends Optus based SIM.

Hmmm..for some reason..it didnt automatically pull all the info from my 3G sim card. I tried following the settings from that jmango website but it still give me the same message saying "internet connection failed" when i try going onto a website.

Is there something wrong with my n900 or can i do something to make it work?

I believe the 3G and 2G connections use different APN addresses, i am guessing you have access to the full 3G and put in the 3G APN?

actually I just read the Jango website and it looks different to the other Optus phone I used. I looked up the GPRS settings and found these look more like what I remember.

Operator: - Optus
GPRS APN: - internet
Username: - {blank}
Password: - {blank}
DNS: - 202.139.83.3, 192.65.91.129

Not sure if you need to put the DNS into the N900 settings though.

Mine pulled it automatically. You don’t set anything.

hmmmmmmm. try calling optus and see if they can send you the settings. had to do it once with my old n82
