Assuming you are talking about the n900 and Maemo 5, maybe you can pitch this idea in the MyMenu thread?

There is another one that will list the extras-dev, extras-testing and latest ones to be promoted i think - was discussing it yesterday. Think it is in the devs area at the moment

So I am not developer or programmer I am just making a suggestion. Would you like a program or shortcut?(even button press like camkeyd) which would display the latest applications launched or even the recent ones closed?
I don't know if this is even possible, but feel free to discuss it here.
