Hello!

A friend of mine has a N900.
And he asked me if I could make a program that make the .desktop file for him. So when I was working on it I added some other features to the program.

And I just wanted to share it with you.

The program is at an early stage. And it was so fun to make so I will continue to improve the program.

Features:
  • Slice one image into 4 images (for ex. Loopable Wallpaper).
    For now the images must be 3200x480px.
  • Create the .desktop file.
  • Move files to your save location.
  • Preview function.

There can be bugs and spelling errors.
I dont own a N900, at the moment, so i missing some icons and things on the home screen in the preview function.

Report bugs and other things and I will fix it.

Would be great if you could add a selection box to move around wallpaper loaded. That way we could choose a particular area from bigger eg HD wallpapers.

Cheers.

@f2thak
Yes, i have seen that. But its never wrong with more options.

@djjaku
Thats on the TO DO list.
Thats one of the big features I want this program to have, in a later version. I have not decided yet how that function should look like (GUI). But it will come.

Thanks for your feedback!

@swejaf if you know how to crop using your programming language, maybe you could do it this way - user clicks a point on the image, then program puts a layer with selection like rectangle or sth having its left top point in the place cliked. Then it asks "apply", ok, and image its cropped from the point clicked. I hope you know what i mean heh.

Thats sounds like something I have thought on. The only thing i dont have thought on is the mathematics behind the program. I cant show the original image. I must resize it before i print it. And then take the y and x to calculate were the points are on the original image. I will look in to that tomorrow, the clock here in Sweden are now 05:27, time for some sleep.

Damn thats really mind boggling that resize stuff What language do you write it on? And would you mind sharing the source with me? I'd like to try it on my own, cause I have ended my school years ago and sometimes I feel I m ******ing...

Regards

@Death Scythe WPcreator altough its a bit buggy, cause it stretches the wallpaper to be 3200x480 and in 99% cases it looks crap.
