Hi

This is probably a silly question, but still.

Is there an UI on n900 to send out skype (or jabber, or whatever) auth request?

I think you should simply add it to the phonebook.

When you add the skype account to your contact, you'll find a new option in the menu to send the authorization request.

After I get auth request from a new peer (who was not it my contact list before), and accept it, do I need to manually send an auth request in other side to see peer's presence? If yes, then how to do so?

Currently peer is being displayed as offline, and I don't know if they are really offline, or I am not authorized to see their presence.

I can't find any menu option to send auth request.

Also I don't see how to discontinue their authorization to see my presence - is that possible?

I got the exact same problem - with Skype as well as with Jabber and ICQ. I really would like to see when some of my contacts are online.

But I can't find an option to send an auth request anywhere.

Please help! Any suggestions are welcome, especially for Jabber (but I assume it's the same mechanism with any protocol, anyway).
