I installed and uninstalled the recaller application but it still shows on the widget list (widgets to add to desktop). How do I manually remove it? Where is this list located?

Try this:

/usr/share/applications/hildon-home

There should be a recaller.desktop there.

no it isnt there. How do I perform a search for the keyword recaller using the terminal? I could find it by doing it.

I solved it. I went to the root directory did a sudo gainroot then ls * -r | grep recaller and it didnt return anything. So I rebooted (reboot) and now it is gone.
