Is it possible to disable flip to mute/silence the alarm or while ringing?

When my alarm goes of, while taking it out of my pocket, it snoozes because of movements. Dont want that.

This should be optional definetly. I personally find the flip quite a nice touch, plus it gave me another thing to boast about to my mates with iPhones lol

I agree, I got bitten by this feature last week, it needs to be selectable.

Moreover, it's not just a pocket size issue as the bug discussion hints. We women often have an object named handbag, where the phone floats quite freely among other stuff and may flip over.

This is one of my favourite features.

When I'm talking to someone and want to finish what I'm saying, and the phone rings, I just put it on the table face down, and it does its job of silencing very well.
