Easily done with dbus-scripts. Create a file in directory /etc/dbus-scripts.d/ conaining
And the file /usr/bin/slide will be executed whenever the keyboard is opened or closed.Code:/usr/bin/slide * * org.freedesktop.Hal.Device Condition ButtonPressed cover

I have done a very similar one (the sound was played on screen lock/unlock) per request some time ago, so I can just change it a bit

I would really like a program that can play a sound when I slide keyboard out on n900. I want to do something with a theme I'm working on and this. Anyone intersted in doing this for me?
